Complimentary Initial Exam

Every patient receives a complimentary and comprehensive explanation of their treatment needs on their first visit. Dr. Poggio personally discusses her findings with the patient and/or parents.

State-of-the-Art Technology

Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Our patients benefit from the convenience of in-house digital photographs, records and X-rays. Digital X-rays produce 75% less radiation than the traditional kind. Also, our office uses comprehensive orthodontic treatment planning software, which enables Dr. Poggio to more accurately diagnose and predict your individual treatment results.

We Utilize the Damon™ System. The Damon System is a new and exciting treatment modality in orthodontics. It is more than just a different type of brace. In the past, orthodontists would use heavy forces to move the teeth. The Damon System utilizes light forces and low friction to move teeth faster and more gently than ever before. The results are outstanding. The patients in our office benefit from our use of the Damon System in the following ways:

• Treatment is much more gentle – your teeth don't get as sore!
• Treatment time can be much shorter than with conventional braces
• Appointments are typically 8 weeks or more apart – this means you miss less school!

At Otay Lakes Orthodontics we understand your time is valuable. We strive to maintain efficient treatment, with the latest technology to give each patient shorter appointments and longer appointment intervals (6-12 weeks).

Meticulous Sterilization

Our patients can be assured that we follow all of the OSHA guidelines for sterilization techniques. We use hospital grade sterilizers and test the equipment regularly to adhere to the strictest of protocols.
